Steps to Growing an Intentional Life
Is your life not exactly where you think it should be? Well look around you. Who are you surrounding yourself with? Are the people in your life draining everything that nourishes you? Are they blocking your sunlight?
I have had to do some weeding in my life and it can be tough. Its hard to uplift weeds when the roots have grown deep, but it is a necessity to trash all the negative if you want to grow something beautiful.
Now this doesn’t mean those weeds won’t still be there or come back. If you are a Gardner you know the constant work it takes to keep the ugly from overtaking the seeds you have intentionally planted. The KEY is to never let them grow deep enough roots that they begin to suck the life out of what you have grown for yourself. This takes conscious effort and awareness.
The first step to planting is to clear your area of any weeds. Who is nourishing you and who is not? What is no longer serving you and your purpose? Put some distance between you and the negative energy.
The second step is to plan your layout. Get a clear vision of what you want in your life, the type of people you want in it,and set goals for your growth. Choose people that already bear the fruit that you would like to….look at their garden and what’s in it. If you like what you see, then surrounding yourself with those people will help you achieve success.
The third step is to plant the seeds. Start taking action. It doesn’t matter how small or large those steps are as long as you are moving in a forward motion.
The fourth step is to water your seeds, shine the light on them, and give it rich soil to feed them. Make sure everything in your life lines up with your goals. If one area is weak it could spread throughout your entire life. Its like a plant with a disease passing it on to the rest of the garden. Have morals and values that are unbreakable and consistent throughout.
The last step is PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. If you build your garden then never look at it again what will happen? It will die. You have to regularly look at your life and goals and make sure everything is lining up. You have to weed your garden, add more water, replenish the soil. Upon completion of a goal take the time to stop and look at where you are at, what your next step is, and what is possibly blocking you.
Just starting to think about change is moving you in a forward motion, but you will have to implement these tools to see real results! I believe in you! You deserve a fruitful life and a garden that is blossoming!
Mantras:
Weed out the bad.
Take forward steps, small or large.
I deserve to have a light shine on me.
Don’t let the negative roots grow deep.
